Firestone Park Events

Planned over a century ago by Harvey S. Firestone as a model community for his tire-company workers, with landscape architect Alling S. DeForest laying out tree-lined boulevards that curve around the central Firestone Park itself — a public park literally shaped like the Firestone shield emblem. The original concept was families of different income levels living together in varied housing styles, with churches, schools, and shops all within walking distance — and that walkability still defines the community. Three community parks, charming early-20th-century architecture, and a calendar weighted toward family events, parks programming, and historic-home gatherings.
