Anchored by Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens — the 70-acre Tudor Revival estate of Goodyear co-founder F.A. Seiberling, with a name that means "stone quarry" in Old English — and Sand Run Metro Park's nearly 1,000 acres of trails, picnic shelters, and the Sand Run Lodge. Portage Country Club rounds out the green space. Most homes were built in the 1920s as smaller variations on the Stan Hywet workers' housing pattern. The calendar runs heavily on Stan Hywet's year-round programming (the Ohio Mart, Murder Mystery weekends, Deck the Hall during the holidays), outdoor events in the metro parks, and community-association gatherings.
