Fairlawn & Copley Events

Fairlawn (~7,000) is a small city directly west of Akron that punches well above its weight as a regional commercial center — Summit Mall, the West Market Street restaurant corridor, and a cluster of hotels make it a frequent destination from across Summit County. Copley Township (~17,000) wraps around its western side, anchored by the Cleveland-Massillon Road commercial corridor and sharing the highly regarded Copley-Fairlawn City Schools with Fairlawn proper. The combined calendar runs on Summit Mall events and Fairlawn restaurant happenings, Copley Community Park programs (movies in the park, food-truck nights, summer concerts), Copley-Fairlawn school concerts and athletics, and year-round library programming at the Fairlawn-Bath Branch on West Market Street that serves both communities. Not to be confused with Fairlawn Heights, the Akron community inside the city line.
